From the first phone call to our office, you will notice that our practice is unique in the way that we treat people. Our administrative staff is ready to help you with questions about scheduling, financial policy, and insurance.

Alamo Heights Dental is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible.

We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. However, emergency cases can arise and cause delays, and we appreciate your understanding and patience.

first visit

Please arrive at your initial visit at least fifteen minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Please assist us by being prepared to provide the following information at the time of your initial appointment:

• Comprehensive medical and surgical history, as well as physician contacts.
• A list of medications you are presently taking, as well as any known allergies.
• If you have dental insurance, bring the relevant information. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 years of age.

If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6 months), you may request that they forward them to our office. However, if additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.

emergency visits

Every attempt will be made to see or address a patient with a dental emergency as soon as possible. For after-hour emergencies, please call the regular office number, 210-824-3243, for emergency contact numbers to reach one of our doctors.

financial policy

We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients; therefore, payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also gladly accept cash and checks. If necessary, we can help you secure financing for treatment through Care Credit. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 210-824-3243. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear up any misunderstandings.

As a courtesy, our staff will file your insurance claims for you, but please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office which are not covered or paid by your insurance.

To accomplish this, we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Please bring your insurance information with you to the initial visit so that we can expedite reimbursement.  We also request that you keep us updated with any changes to your insurance. We will do our best to give an accurate estimate as to coverage, but please note that we cannot possibly anticipate every situation that may arise when dealing with insurance.
